I have used Makita for over 15 years. I beet the hell out of them. They just keep going. I purchased this for the batteries and charger. My other 18v charger got crushed. It was cheaper to puchase this then the charger and Batteries. Theses are Ni-Cad not lithium-ion. That's the only draw back. I have taken Makita tools and throughen them off roofs, smashed them on basement floors used the butt end as a hammer. They are very tuff tools.
